Too many good counters: Widowmaker, Ana, Hanzo, Genji, Winston, Roadhog, Mccree, Bastion, Pharah...

But Junkrat does counter a few powerful enemies: Mei, Rein, Lucio

Junkrat definitely fits the "master criminal" description, albeit a mastermind that's bordering on lunacy. His abilities remind me of Demoman from Team-fortress 2.

The Defensive Role makes sense given Concussion Mine and Steel Trap. I've been brewing a bit with him (without actually playing him):

Frag Launcher
- To be used long-range, preferably from a high point to maximize bounce
- Can bounce over walls or shields
- Theoretically he can bounce off a wall, allowing for interesting angles of attack (such as around Reinhardt's Barrier Field)

Steel Trap
- Steel Trap's placed around capture points or choke points to ensure a kill with Frag Launcher.
- Steel Trap an opponent to escape (wonder if this is effective in combat)
- Rip-Tire into an opponent caught in a Steel Trap

Concussion Mine
- Use to launch enemies off of map or high places (like in the Trailer) and kill them from fall damage (how likely is this?)
- Launch people off of objectives
- Use Concussion Mine to launch opponents into teammate's abilities such as Reinhardt's charge
- Concussion Mine an opponent into a Steel Trap

Here are my questions for Junkrat that maybe you guys can help me on:
- Does Frag Launcher's grenade explode instantly upon contact?
- How many bounces before Frag Launcher's grenade explodes?
- Is Frag Launcher's grenade on a timed explosion?
- Is there a limit of how many Steel Traps and Concussion Mines you can place?
- Is there a delay before Steel Traps and Concussion Mines activate?

Answers:
1. Yes
2. N/A, because it goes on a timer once it collides with terrain
3. About 2.5-3 seconds after first collision
4. One of each
5. Steel Trap has a ~1 second delay to arm, while Concussion Mines are active the instant they're in the air.
I've been playing him for a while now.
